Beautiful Cake Stands

A cake stand it's like a veil on a bride. A finishing touch. After all the baking and decorating, it's something that allows you to display your beautiful work.
Recently I realized I do not have a cake stand. Me - a family baker. I know, embarrassing ... It's all Pinterest's fault! All of those beautiful cake stands floating around, tempting me. Hmm, maybe it was just trying to tell me something. OK, I get it - I need a cake stand. Now don't get me wrong. I do not serve my cakes in a baking pan. I do have a cake plate. But I sure would love a cake stand - like the ones I am going to show you.
I put together a collection of some wonderful cake stands I found. I thought it would be great to share it with you - just in case you are looking for one, too.

First up, a cake stand you can actually make yourself. I love the color! Haniela put together a tutorial, for those of you interested. You can see it here.

Those beauties were created by Kathryn and Ashleigh from Bee in Our Bonnet blog. Aren't they amazing? What if I told you that those two girls rolled up their sleeves and made them themselves? From plywood and table legs! Brilliant!

You can see the tutorial here.
What do you get if you put together a plate and a candlestick? Yep - a cake stand. :) The Eat Drink Pretty blog featured the idea of using a spray paint to make a cake stand matching the party's theme.

Tutorial available here.

The amazing Shelley, from The House of Smiths, made this cute stand. She took it to a whole new level by using a stencil. I absolutely love it!

Stenciled cake stand

You might have seen this style of cake stands. Use a ribbon in a color of your theme and you have a cute decor.
This cake stand is available here.
If you do not feel like making a cake stand yourself - you can find ones for purchase on Etsy.

Afabulousfete  has some real treats for displaying your cakes and cupcakes. This is my favorite:

Available here.

I adore OliviaDru's shop. It's a true eye candy.  Anything turquoise will draw my attention, so naturally I would go with this stand. But don't you just love the bow on it? :) (swoon)
Available here.
I can see a Christmas cake sitting atop of this stand:

I hope you enjoyed this collection. To see more examples of beautiful cake stands, you can see my board on Pinterest.

  2. Since I started baking last year I have been obssesed with cake stands. You are right they are really like a veil for a bride. Thanks for all these info. Not sure if I could get them to send to Holland. or not sure if I could afford any of it.They are quite pricey here. Nevertheless, I enjoy looking at them from here.
